AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas Men's Swimming and Diving team was tabbed as the second-ranked team in the preseason TYR Top 25 by the CSCAA (College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America) on Wednesday afternoon.

The Longhorns finished 2018-19 at No. 2 in the NCAA Championships. UT's NCAA runner-up finish was the 12th in program history and marked the 26th time in 41 seasons under head coach Eddie Reese that the Longhorns finished among the top two nationally. All totaled, under Reese, Texas has earned a top three finish on 33 occasions and finished among the Top 10 for the 40th straight year.

Texas will see five of the TYR Top 25 during the 2019-20 campaign. They will also compete in the four-day Minnesota Invitational.

The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches. Each committee includes 9 spots from the Power Five leagues and five at-large spots from non-P5 leagues. The women and men committee chairs are Naya Higashijima (SMU) and Bill Roberts (Navy).  The next poll is scheduled for release on October 23rd.
