AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas Women's Swimming and Diving team was ranked fifth in the preseason TYR Top 25 by the CSCAA (College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America) on Wednesday afternoon.

The Longhorns are coming off a 2018-19 campaign that saw Texas finish the dual meet season undefeated and record their third straight top-six finish at the NCAA Championships.

UT will face four of the TYR Top 25 during the 2019-20 season, including hosting No. 19 Kentucky to open the season. They will also compete in the four-day Minnesota Invitational.

The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches. Each committee includes 9 spots from the Power Five leagues and five at-large spots from non-P5 leagues. The women and men committee chairs are Naya Higashijima (SMU) and Bill Roberts (Navy).  The next poll is scheduled for release on October 23rd.
