HOUSTON – Texas women's golf senior Kaitlyn Papp fired a 3-over 74 during the third round of the U.S. Women's Open on Saturday at the Champions Golf Club. Papp's round leaves her in a tie for fifth, four shots back of leader Hinako Shibuno, heading into Sunday's final round. She is the low amateur in the field.

Papp, an Austin native, was steady throughout the day, making a number of key par putts to hold with the world's elite at the top of the leaderboard. She finished with one birdie and four bogeys on a tough scoring day in Houston.

Due to expected inclement weather in the Houston area on Sunday, tee times have been moved up to begin at 7:45 a.m. CT. Papp will tee off at 9:13 a.m. CT. Golf Channel will have live coverage of the final round from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. CT, and then coverage will switch over to NBC from 2-5 p.m. CT.
